Central Market looking from Corporation Road bridge towards Newmarket Street footbridge. On the left corner of Victoria Street is the Palace Buffet, facing on the opposite corner is Vickers Confectionary/tobacconist shop. Further into Central Market on the left is the Central Temperance Hotel. On the right, warehouse as far as Victoria Street, on the corner of Victoria Street and Central Market is Peirsons cash stores, further on is J.C. Browns shop and Harrison Hotel. The clock tower is in the centre of Central Market and in the distance can be seen the railway goods office and gates protecting the yard.
