Railway lines to the left connect with the lines to the Old Dock and to Union Dock. Railway lines to the right connect with the lines to the East side of Royal Dock, and the far right line to Cleethorpes. Behind the tram is the old Gatehouse, used by the Dock Police for controlling the crossing. To the right of the tram is the Cleethorpe Road Signal Box. The tram is a Grimsby Corporation double horse tram on its way towards Victoria Street.
