Locomotive 'Bismarck', a Logan and Hemingway engine, working on the construction of Alexandra Docks, Grimsby. This engine was used by the firm to work on the erection of Alexandra Dock. The figure in the top hat is Mr Logan. The foreman responsible for building the docks was Patsy Collins, he stands in front of the engine underneath the Bismark sign. The engine was sold to the MSL Company in 1879 to work on the coal drops in Royal Dock, Grimsby.
